The Ranges are not an easy place to photograph on a schedule. The light drops early behind the ridge, the fog sits in the gullies well past nine, and a venue that looks extraordinary in October can be flat grey through August. Knowing which hour a given room or frontage actually works is the difference between a shoot and a wasted morning, and that comes from living here rather than driving up for the day.
The work is mostly local businesses: cafes and restaurants, nurseries and garden suppliers, wedding and function venues, galleries, trades and the professional services along the main roads. Commercial and brand photography, video, and licensed aerial where the canopy and the ridgeline are the whole point.
No travel fee anywhere in the Ranges. That is not a promotion, it is just what the drive costs from Belgrave.

Reception spaces, gardens and grounds shot at the hour they look like themselves, for the booking pages people scroll through a year before the date.

Aerial and canopy
Licensed drone work across the ridgelines and the tree canopy. The frames that show where a property actually sits, which no amount of ground level photography can do here.

The things people ask first.
Do you charge travel to get here?
Not inside the eastern suburbs, the Dandenong Ranges or the Yarra Valley. Belgrave is the base, so those are a short run and the rate is the rate. Travel is only quoted separately for regional Victoria and interstate.
What does a shoot cost?
Every shoot is quoted as a fixed fee up front, against the brief rather than off a rate card. Tell me what the images have to do, where they are going and when you need them, and the quote comes back with the scope written down beside it, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
When is the best time to shoot up here?
It depends entirely on which way the frontage faces. South facing shopfronts in Belgrave and Tecoma hold even light most of the day, while anything under the canopy in Sherbrooke or Kallista wants late morning once the fog has properly lifted. That gets worked out before the day rather than on it.
Can you fly a drone in the Ranges?
Yes, with the usual care. It is licensed CASA operation and much of the district sits under no special restriction, though proximity to the national park and to power infrastructure changes what is possible in specific spots. Send the address and I will confirm before quoting.
How are the images delivered?
Full resolution files through Dropbox, with web sized versions alongside them so nothing has to be resized before it goes on a site or a socials post. Commercial licensing and print rights are included, and files stay hosted for three months after delivery.
How do I book?
Send through what the shoot is for and roughly when. We do a short call to pin down scope, then the proposal, contract and payment schedule all come through one client portal so nothing is chased over email.
