It's Jordy.

Jordy started as a nickname during my teenage years, but it quickly became much more than that. It captures exactly who I am. Playful, energetic, and always looking for ways to inject vibrancy into my work and life.

You'll notice this energy clearly in my photography through colour, movement, and emotion, and especially in the rhythm and personality of my videos. My creative journey didn't start overnight though. It began much earlier, scribbling stories, sketching ideas, and playing with old film cameras alongside my family.

At 16, I got my first Sony mirrorless camera, and honestly, I was hooked. I took that thing everywhere. Friends' houses, parties, weekend trips. I loved collecting moments and memories. The ability to freeze time felt powerful, and that feeling never left me.

Eventually, my hobby turned into a career when someone saw potential in my work and offered me an amazing opportunity to move overseas and join a start-up. It was exciting, challenging, and life changing. I deepened my skills in visual storytelling and developed a backend post production workflow that allowed me to capture and then deliver a product to my clients.

Returning home to Melbourne, I directed and produced my first freelance project. The energy I got back from that experience convinced me I was on the right track. With my background in entrepreneurship and innovation, combined with a strong foundation in conceptual, visual, and graphic design, I naturally grew into a versatile creator.

Today, my creative process excites and energises me. I see each new project like solving a puzzle — bringing the pieces together, exploring possibilities, making decisions. That collaboration is honestly what drives me forward. It inspires me, motivates me, and makes me genuinely excited to get out there and create something incredible.

At its heart, my work is all about building connection. A relationship, a dance, like poetry, between myself, my clients, and the audience we want to reach.
