Jordy started as a nickname in my teenage years and stuck because it fit. Playful, energetic, always looking for a way to put some life into the work. You see it in the photographs, in colour, movement and emotion, and in the rhythm of the films. It began early, scribbling stories, sketching ideas and playing with old film cameras alongside my family, and at sixteen a first Sony mirrorless that went everywhere with me. The ability to freeze a moment felt powerful. It still does.

The hobby became a career when someone saw the work and offered me a place in a startup overseas. That is where I learned to deliver rather than only shoot, and where the post production workflow I still run today took shape. Back in Melbourne I directed and produced my first freelance project and knew I was on the right track. A degree in entrepreneurship and innovation, on top of a foundation in conceptual, visual and graphic design, made me a versatile creator rather than a specialist in one box.
