Brand video or corporate video, which one does your business need

These two terms get used as if they mean the same thing. They do not, and choosing the wrong one wastes budget.

Corporate video is functional. It explains, trains, reports and demonstrates. Think product explainer, event recap, internal update, investor piece. Clarity over feeling. It usually speaks to staff, stakeholders and partners.

Brand video is about who you are, not just what you do. It builds recognition and gives people a reason to choose you over the next option. It is connective and story driven. It lives on your site, your socials and YouTube, and it speaks to customers.

Which one. Most businesses need both, at different stages. But if you are growing and trying to stand out, the brand piece usually earns its place first. It is the one that makes someone feel something and remember you.

A simple test. If the goal is to inform someone who already deals with you, that is corporate. If the goal is to make someone who has never heard of you care, that is brand.

How JSM approaches it. The work follows substance and ambition, content people remember rather than a corporate stock feel. Not sure which fits? Connect Now and we will work it out.
