Five things to sort before a brand shoot day

A good shoot day runs on what you did before it. Sort these five and the day is calm, fast, and you walk away with more usable content.

• Know what the photos are for. Website, socials, decks, ads. Each needs different framing and crops. Tell your photographer up front.

• Get clear on the brand. Personality, values, who it speaks to. The images should feel like the business, not generic stock.

• Build a quick reference board. A handful of frames that show the look you are after. Pinterest is fine.

• Sort wardrobe and props. Test the outfit beforehand. Bring the real tools of the trade, the objects that tell the story of the business.

• Plan the locations. Studio, office or on location. A few strong setups beat a rushed tour of ten spots.

One more. Rest and water the week before. The camera reads it. Planning a brand shoot? Connect Now.
